| The music in this series, all beautifully arranged for ballet class, draws predominantly, but not exclusively, on late nineteenth century ballet, opera, and classical music. There are a few well known variations (the Black Swan coda, for instance); yet you'll also find outstanding dance music from rarely seen ballets. All selections are performed with energy and elegance, and the adagios display real depth and intensity, a hallmark of Doug's playing. |
